A few minutes away from The Great Wall were the Ming Tombs…
these mausoleums made for the emporors for the Ming Dynasty is another UNESCO Heritage Site found in Beijing.
Since we were tired from our Great Wall escapade, it was a very short visit where we spent looking around Ling’en Hall..
reading about Emperor Yongle, the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty who was known to have made the greatest contribution in China…
..and walking around the grounds to admire the actual tombs.
Over-all, it was a very short visit which I think we would have appreciated more if we had a guide. 😦
